Is Springdale walkable?

First post here. Poverty rate is 9.5%, which is pretty low. What would you do? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

The food scene here is improving. Tons of great Thai places. I love the pace of life here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Pine Hills. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in consulting. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Used to live on the East side, now on the Sunset side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

I work in finance here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is tough. Hope this helps!.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 15 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
