Planning a move to Springdale -neighborhoods?

Curious what people think. I'm a remote worker and Household incomes average around $66,044 in Springdale. Crime rate is something to consider -Springdale sits at 222.3 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,008 for rent here. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Has anyone dealt with this? The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 10 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in East for 15 years. Moved from Raleigh for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
marketing is strong here. healthcare is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are established for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I genuinely enjoy living here. The outdoor scene is decent - we have national forests within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. East schools are tough. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Summers can be brutally hot. Winters are long and cold. And outdoor recreation can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 9/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
