Biggest downsides of living in Springfield?

I'm single, late 50s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Springfield sits at 535.9 per 100K. Average temperature is around 70--F, so the weather is moderate. Median household income is $51,640, which feels on the lower side for the area. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Would love some local perspective. Thanks for reading. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in Meadowbrook area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.
