Is Springfield still affordable?

Anyone else feel this way? I'm a remote worker and Homes are going for about $155,200 on average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
