Anyone else feel this way? I relocated for work and Median household income is $65,537, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $155,200 on average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Austin about 10 years ago. The main reasons were school and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are pricey, gas is average.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Houston about 8 years ago. The main reasons were weather and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Four distinct seasons
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Property taxes are high
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are competitive, gas is pretty good.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. No regrets on my end..
