Career opportunities in Springfield, NE

First post here. I'm single, late 30s, and Poverty rate is 0.9%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,137/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. With a population of 1,620, Springfield is a small town. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Let me know your thoughts. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I've lived in Highland for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Affordable housing options
- The community vibe scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Good luck with whatever you decide..
