First post here. My family moved here when I was a kid. Crime rate is something to consider -Springfield sits at 493.8 per 100K. The median home value here is around $107,600, which is actually reasonable. Rent is about $805/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $805 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 5.1%, which is about average. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
