Is Springfield worth it salary-wise?

Curious what people think. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Rent is about $805/month for a decent place. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Came here for weather and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The food scene is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Highland. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in legal. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Asian.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
