First time home buyer in St. Albans

Hey everyone, Poverty rate is 9.8%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $888 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 10,637 people. The median home value here is around $131,800, which is actually reasonable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Am I wrong here? Thanks! It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.
