OK so I'm originally from Portland and Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Rent is about $888/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $888 for rent here. Poverty rate is 9.8%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
