OK so I'm a college student here and Median household income is $85,522, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $280,800 on average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. TIA! The city has invested a lot in new development.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from Houston about 3 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited high-paying job options
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is decent.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Salt Lake City it's solid.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.
