Hey, The median home value here is around $241,700, which is actually reasonable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I've lived in North for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
- The community vibe scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The pet-friendliness is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The safety is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely better than expected and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Fairview) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Austin, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much established but now it's tough.
