Job hunting in St. Clair Shores -tips?

Hello, Born and raised here. The median home value here is around $196,400, which is actually reasonable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. Would love some local perspective. Any help is appreciated. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in West. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is decent in most areas.
