Moving from New York to St. Clair Shores next month

Hey, My partner and I are It's a a smaller city city with about 58,287 people. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Worth the trade-offs? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Moved here from Seattle about 11 years ago. I love the pace of life here. Still getting used to walkability but Definitely worth checking out..

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 11 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
