My family moved here when I was a kid. Rent is about $1,183/month for a decent place. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights
- The cultural scene scene is average
The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in Midtown area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The job market is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is tough in most areas.
