OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Maple Ridge. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in real estate. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Hope this helps!.

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it was the best decision I ever made.

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 14 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The dating scene is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Meadowbrook. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

I've been living here for 8 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The school system is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..
