I've lived in South for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Four distinct seasons
- The nightlife scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've been living here for 8 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The food scene is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..
