Co-working spaces in St. Helens?

Curious what people think. We have two kids and The median home value here is around $350,900, which seems about average. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. The weather takes some getting used to. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cultural scene, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Bought a house here in 2024 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much pricey but now it's tough.

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Old Town area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely solid and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Fairview) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Uptown for 4 years. Moved from Chicago for a job opportunity. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
retail is strong here. real estate is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are pricey for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I love the pace of life here. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Uptown schools are hit or miss. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Urban sprawl is real. Limited shopping options. And cost of living can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 6/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Lots of new development happening
- The traffic scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for singles. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Active local events and festivals
- The cultural scene scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Feel free to reach out with questions..
