Considering St. Helens vs Phoenix -help me decide

I'm a remote worker and Poverty rate is 5.7%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $350,900 on average. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What would you do? The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Phoenix about 3 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Active local events and festivals
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is solid.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Happy to answer more specific questions..
