Just moved to St. Ignace, any tips?

Random thought, My partner and I are With a population of 2,409, St. Ignace is a small town. Crime rate is something to consider -St. Ignace sits at 216.5 per 100K. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What would you do? Thanks for reading. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 5 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
