Raising a family in St. James -thoughts?

I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Household incomes average around $130,556 in St. James. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a small town city with about 13,680 people. Poverty rate is 0.9%, which is pretty low. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.
