Hey folks, I'm a remote worker and Rent is about $2,192/month for a decent place. Median household income is $130,556, which feels pretty solid for the area. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Came here for retirement and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The school system is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

The food scene here is pretty good. Tons of great craft beer places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from Miami about 1 years ago. The main reasons were weather and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Limited entertainment options
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is average.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I'm a chef and I've found I love the pace of life here. The community is challenging and there's always something going on.
