Been meaning to ask this. My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $370,800, which seems about average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Anyone in a similar situation?

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good internet infrastructure
- The job market scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
