Hey folks, We're a young couple and Poverty rate is 9.1%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What neighborhoods would you suggest? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Uptown. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
