Affordable areas near St. Johns?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a 45-year-old pharmacist and Household incomes average around $63,030 in St. Johns. With a population of 7,712, St. Johns is a small town. The median home value here is around $175,300, which is actually reasonable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Friendly people
- Diverse community
- Easy commute
- Active local events

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Limited dining options
- Lack of diversity
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Limited cultural events
Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
