St. Joseph quality of life -am I missing something?

I'm a teacher here and Poverty rate is 13.6%, which is around average. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $884/month for a decent place. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Growing food scene
- Diverse community

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Cold winters
- Not enough green space
Am I overthinking this? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'm a marketing manager and I've found it exceeded my expectations. The community is pretty good and there's always something going on.
