How much do you pay for rent in St. Louis?

First post here. I'm a teacher here and You can expect to pay around $978 for rent here. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely pretty good and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (Maple Ridge) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Francisco, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Limited shopping options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 10 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I'm a lawyer and I've found the quality of life is solid. The community is pretty good and there's always something going on.

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The cultural scene is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Uptown area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.
