Just moved here 12 months ago and The unemployment rate is 2.5%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $100,250 in St. Louis Park. Median household income is $100,250, which feels pretty solid for the area. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Has anyone dealt with this? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Minneapolis about 6 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are developing, gas is underrated.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Hope this helps!.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
