Biggest downsides of living in St. Marys?

Curious what people think. We have two kids and It's a a small town city with about 18,805 people. Crime rate is something to consider -St. Marys sits at 331.1 per 100K. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Am I wrong here? The city has invested a lot in new development.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is job market. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to New York it's solid.
