Is it worth buying in St. Paul?

OK so The unemployment rate is 3.5%, which is pretty low. It's a a mid-size city city with about 308K people. Median household income is $73,055, which feels about average for the area. Household incomes average around $73,055 in St. Paul. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Nice parks and trails
- Active local events

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Cold winters
- High property taxes
- Far from major airports
Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Bought a house here in 2020 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 3 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into running, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
