Median household income is $73,055, which feels about average for the area. Rent is about $1,248/month for a decent place. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Am I overthinking this? It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Meadowbrook. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in real estate. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally improving. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Indian.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
