Working in St. Peters -salaries realistic?

Hello, I'm a remote worker and The unemployment rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. The suburbs are where most families end up. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Any help is appreciated.

I'm a social worker and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. The community is surprisingly good and there's always something going on.

I've lived in Oak Park for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- The housing market scene is average

The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Oak Park. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in finance. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
