Housing market in St. Petersburg — is it worth buying?

Median home value here is around $331,500. Prices are reasonable compared to major metros. For those renting, typical rent is $1542.

Is now a good time to buy in St. Petersburg? Or better to keep renting?

Looking for opinions from both homeowners and renters.

I work in healthcare and finding a job wasn't hard. Took about 3 months.

The food scene here is seriously underrated. So many great restaurants.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Old Town. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

Coming from Houston, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are cheaper.

Been here 20 years. The city has changed a lot but overall for the better.

Rent tip: look for places in fall. Prices drop and there's more availability.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.
