I work in legal and Poverty rate is 4.8%, which is pretty low. With a population of 1,992, Stacy is a small town. The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Is this normal for Stacy? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Used to live on the Uptown side, now on the West side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Bought a house here in 2017 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

I'm a HR manager and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. The community is challenging and there's always something going on.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure
- The cost of living scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 2 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
