How is Stafford for outdoor activities?

Hey, I'm a college student here and Crime rate is something to consider -Stafford sits at 593.0 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 17,279 people. The suburbs are where most families end up. Let me know your thoughts. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Bought a house here in 2015 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Used to live on the Maple Ridge side, now on the Springfield side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.

I've lived in Old Town for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- The nightlife scene is tough

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited high-paying job options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..
