Best coffee shops in Stamford?

Longtime lurker here, I'm a college student here and Poverty rate is 6.4%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $614,300, which is pretty steep. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Oak Park. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

No regrets on my end..

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.
