Moving to Stamford — what should I know?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Homes are going for about $614,300 on average. Rent is about $2,207/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider — Stamford sits at 202.0 per 100K. Household incomes average around $107,474 in Stamford. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. Any help is appreciated. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.
