Hey folks, I'm a college student here and The unemployment rate is 3.5%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider — Stamford sits at 202.0 per 100K. Median household income is $107,474, which feels pretty solid for the area. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I wrong here? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
