What Stanton does better than anywhere else

Hello, I grew up here but left for a while. Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. Homes are going for about $541,000 on average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I'm a social worker and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is solid and there's always something going on.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Highland area are average. Kids love it here.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to San Diego it's excellent.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The walkability is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Charlotte about 2 years ago. The main reasons were work and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of new development happening
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Limited shopping options
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are stable, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
