We have two kids and Crime rate is something to consider -Staunton sits at 204.6 per 100K. Homes are going for about $239,300 on average. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Is this normal for Staunton? Looking forward to hearing from you all. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to.
