Internet providers in Steamboat Springs?

Longtime lurker here, I'm a remote worker and Homes are going for about $874,400 on average. With a population of 13,341, Steamboat Springs is a small town. The median home value here is around $874,400, which is pretty steep. It's a a small town city with about 13,341 people. Rent is about $1,909/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What would you do? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely better than expected and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Westside) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.
