Hey, I'm retired and You can expect to pay around $1,979 for rent here. It's a a smaller city city with about 31,251 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is improving in most areas.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Greenfield. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in legal. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Southern.
No regrets on my end..

I work in government here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is surprisingly good. Definitely worth checking out..
