Planning a move to Stillman Valley -neighborhoods?
Anyone else feel this way? I relocated for work and Household incomes average around $87,311 in Stillman Valley. Homes are going for about $168,000 on average. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cheers. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I've lived in Uptown for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The community vibe scene is decent
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in Old Town for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- The walkability scene is average
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Chain restaurants dominate
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.
I've been here 8 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is challenging.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Lakewood. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.
