Considering Stockton vs Raleigh — help me decide

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a remote worker and It's a a mid-size city city with about 320K people. You can expect to pay around $1,495 for rent here. Rent is about $1,495/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $412,900 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Worth the trade-offs? The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development.
