Is Stockton worth moving to in 2026?

I'm retired and With a population of 320K, Stockton is a mid-size city. Poverty rate is 12.4%, which is around average. Homes are going for about $412,900 on average. It's a a mid-size city city with about 320K people. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Anyone in a similar situation? The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
