First post here. We're a young couple and Average temperature is around 61°F, so the weather is moderate. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Let me know your thoughts. Appreciate any input. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Charlotte about 2 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Active local events and festivals
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is excellent.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

We moved here with our family and the quality of life is solid. Schools in Meadowbrook area are improving. Kids love it here.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Baltimore it's underrated.

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. housing market used to be much pricey but now it's average.
