Anyone regret moving to Stow?

I'm a 25-year-old project manager and The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,204/month for a decent place. Median household income is $91,933, which feels pretty solid for the area. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Am I overthinking this? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a data analyst, 57, moved here 10 years ago from New York. I've lived in Greenfield and Fairview, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Good schools in most areas
3. Nice parks and green spaces
4. The people are generally surprisingly good - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Rising rent and home prices
2. Not a lot of cultural diversity
3. The dating scene situation is growing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Greenfield: Great for couples. solid vibes, walkable.
- Fairview: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from New York, everything felt hit or miss. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are manageable. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $40K-$130K here.

**Final verdict:**
Would recommend to anyone considering it.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Dallas about 13 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are stable, gas is tough.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it was the best decision I ever made. Compared to Portland it's hit or miss.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
