Moving to Stow for work -advice?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but With a population of 34,317, Stow is a smaller city. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Thoughts? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in West. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in marketing. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from LA about 7 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is solid.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.
