Studio apartments in Stow -options?

Longtime lurker here, I'm a teacher here and The median home value here is around $238,000, which is actually reasonable. Average temperature is around 49--F, so expect cold winters. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Should I be concerned? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Raleigh about 1 years ago. The main reasons were work and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good internet infrastructure
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is tough.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 12 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
