OK so It's a a small town city with about 1,321 people. Homes are going for about $118,000 on average. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $835/month for a decent place. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Any advice would be great. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I've been here 15 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into running, this place is underrated.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Bought a house here in 2021 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
